MAMA ELEPHANT Piñata Party | Stamp Highlight

January 22, 2020

Today we are having a little fiesta with the adorable images from Mama Elephant Piñata Party! Another great set illustrated by the amazing Aida Zamora.

First, I stamped and colored my images with Copies and die cut them with coordinating dies.

For the background, I die cut the new Deep Etch Confetti Cover die onto some Bristol smooth cardstock before ink blending with Distressed Inks in Candied Apple, Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar. I splashed some water onto the ink blended piece to lift some color for interest.

With my die cutting machine still out and ready, I die cut the Celebrate Script Creative Cut die 4 times – once on gold glitter paper and three times onto white card stock. I glued them together to give the sentiment a dimensional look and to make sure it stood out on the card.

Next, I adhered all my images on with foam tape to match the dimension of the Celebrate die.

I thought I was done, but decided I needed to literally ground my card, so I cut a piece of Kraft paper with the Deep Etch Confetti Cover die and just cut off a strip and tucked it under my critters to give them a floor to stand on.

Lastly, I stamped the little candy images onto my card base with Worn Lipstick to match my card and add a little more fun and my card is finished!

Thank you for stopping by, friends! Ciao!
