Hello friends! Today I created a card for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. This week’s theme is “Anything But a Card”! They are featuring My Favorite Things products and I haven’t used the cute supplies I have for a while, so I decided to make this today.
I made these two book markers today using My Favorite Things Tall Tag Duo Die-Namics die cut and My Favorite Things BB Our Story clear stamps. I have three little bookworms at home so when I saw this stamp set, I knew it had to be a part of my collection.
To make these book marks, I die cut the Tall Tags, stamped and heat embossed the books then ink blended my background. Next, I stamped the images and colored them with Zig markers. I used Glue Dots to directly glue these onto the book marks. I normally add a lot of dimensions on my projects, but for a book mark, it needs to be as flat as you can to be functional. After that, I tied on some ribbon and twine on the top and my book marks are completed.
I gave one each to my boy/girl 9 year old twins and they loved them. I hope you loved them as much as my kids did! Haha.
I had a lot of fun making these and I hope I inspired you to join in the fun at Simon Says Stamp this week! As with any challenge, there’s an amazing prize up for grabs! The generous folks over at Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $50 gift voucher to shop at SimonSaysStamp.com. (Further details can be found on the Simon Says Stamp challenge page.)
