Today I am highlighting the Written in the Snow stamp set with the Mama Elephant design team! This sentiment stamp set is handwritten by one of the fabulous Mamas, Kryssi. She used a technique to make it look like it’s actually handwritten in the snow! I love how it pairs perfectly with Snow Angels and have made a few cards already with these two sets together!
To start, I stamped and colored my images with Arteza brush markers. I die cut with the coordinating dies and set aside.
For the background, I used a blending brush and Distress Oxide in Tumbled Glass and randomly brushed color on to different areas of the card base. I wanted to leave some white so it looks like hills and valleys you find in snow covered grounds. I then used Mama Elephant pigment ink in Ocean to stamp the “Happy Holiday” sentiment and the heart from Written in the Snow and the little feet from Snow Angel all over my background. I then also stamped the “angel wings” from Snow Angel in the same pigment ink.
To finish my card, I adhered my colored critters onto the card base with foam tape and my card is complete! Thanks again for stopping by and don’t forget to visit the other designers to see what they made to get more inspiration for Written in the Snow.
