PRETTY PINK POSH Tropical Toucans | June Blog Hop

June 13, 2019

Hello, crafty friends! I hope you are enjoying all the amazing inspiration on the Pretty Pink Posh June release blog hop thus far – I know I am! My project today features Tropical Toucans paired with the Tropical Frame. This card really screams SUMMER and since it’s been 90 degrees in Orange County, California for the past few days, I would have to say that ‘summer is here!’

To start my card, I stamped, colored and die cut as I usually do. Today, I stamped with brown ink onto Bristol smooth paper and colored with Arteza real brush pens.

I sent my colored images aside and die cut the Tropical Frame die onto a blue green card stock. This die cut will frame my entire card.

Next, I inkblended onto Bristol card stock using Distress Oxides in Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Peacock feathers from the center out. I stamped the sentiment that came with Tropical Toucans onto the middle.

To assemble the card, I put a ton of foam tape on the back of the frame and adhered it to the ink blended piece. I adhere this entire thing to an A2 card base.

Lastly, I adhered all my images onto the card with foam tape and my card is finished!
