Welcome to the Mama Elephant Design Team blog hop!
Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store!
Hello, friends! Today is the first day of Mama Elephant’s November 2020 release! So many cute products (as usual) so don’t forget to stop by www.mamaelephant.com to check out all the goodies!
To start, I stamped and colored Lucky Cat images with Copic Markers and then die cut them with coordinating dies. I loved coloring these images a fun way to give the cats some character and turn the fish into koi fish. It’s really easy to do and looks so fun!
Next, I die pieces of the frame from Money Envelope on white Bristol smooth yardstick. I also die cut the envelope pieces in red card stock. Every year for Chinese New Year, I love to buy these larger envelopes where you do not have to fold the money. Traditionally we are suppose to get new money to give and I hate having to fold brand new bills so this envelope is always a favorite for me. I’m so happy that Mama Elephant made them in this size!
Anyhoo, I ink blended the inside of the frame with Distress Oxide in Tumbled Glass (for water) and Dried Marigold. I glued all the pieces onto the red envelope that I assembled with wet glue. Next, I adhered the images with tape runner. Lastly, I stamped a sentiment from Lucky Cat in Mama Elephant Apple pigment ink and my envelope is finished!
To celebrate the new release, Mama Elephant is picking 3 winners to win their choice of stamp set! Winners will be chosen at random from the collective blogs in the Stampede. You have up to 4 chances to qualify to win!
