Welcome to the Mama Elephant Design Team blog hop! Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store! www.mamaelephant.com
Today I am excited to share my first Mama Elephant project of the year for the January 2020 release! I decided to share a card today I made using Zodiac Rabbit paired with the recently released Snail Mail – Creative Cuts for a whimsical and fun card.
I started by stamping Zodiac Rabbit in brown ink and coloring with Copic Markers before die cutting them with their coordinating dies.
For my background, I die cut Snail Mail – Creative Cuts onto Bristol Smooth paper and ink blended with Distress Inks in Worn Lipstick and Dried Marigold. I splashed my background with water and lifted it up with a paper towel. Next, I die cut the mailbox out of colored card stock and heat embossed the “yay happy mail” sentiment from Scripty Bday onto the mailbox. To add a little depth, I ink blended the mail box with Distress Ink in Peacock Feathers.
Now the fun begins! I arranged my rabbits onto the card and I am so gitty that they fit into the mail slot! I don’t know if it even makes sense but I found it so funny and cute, I decided to go with it! The scene is three bandit rabbits stealing carrots from a mail box. So no – it doesn’t make sense but it’s super cute and that’s exactly what I was going for. Haha.
I adhered everything with foam tape and my card is finished! Please make sure you comment to be eligible for a fun giveaway:
