MAMA ELEPHANT Cherry Blossom Branch | Stamp Highlight

November 22, 2019

Hello, friends! Today I am sharing a card I made using Cherry Blossom Branch. When I get floral stamps, I instantly go into watercoloring mode. I don’t know what it is, it’s just easier for me and very therapeutic. And these braches are just gorgeous – I couldn’t wait to color them!

So that’s exactly what I did – I dived what in. I stamped the image onto watercolor paper with waterproof ink and water colored with Zig Markers and a water brush. Next I die cut all the color images with their coordinating dies and moved onto a simple background.

Instead of Bristol paper, I ink blended on the same watercolor paper I used for my images. I felt this kept things a little more cohesive since the paper color and textures will match. And I actually have forgotten how beautiful ink blending on watercolor paper is! For today’s background, I went with greens to contrast the pinks of my flowers so I used Distress Oxide in Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint and just blended from the corners into the middle and faded into white.

For the sentiment, I used the sentiments that came with this stamp set and heat emboss directly only my ink blended background with gold embossing powder.

I adhered all my images directly onto the background with glue and then used tape runner to adhere the entire thing to an A2 card base.

That’s it and my card is finished – elegant and relatively simple! Thanks for stopping by! Ciao!
