Today I am joining the Mama Elephant design team to highlight Zodiac Ox from the Mama Elephant November release! I already shared a card last week where I created a scene with these adorable ox. Today I made a Lunar New Year card with a pocket for where you can put your lucky money into!
I started by coloring my oxen with Copic markers and die cutting them with their coordinating dies.
Next I used Framed Tags – Delancey – Creative Cuts to cut out a think frame and the little bag out of white card stock. For the bag, I ink blended with Distress Oxide in Candy Apple, Worn Lipstick and Tattered Rose.
For my card base, I used 110 lb colored card stock I bought at Joann’s in this fun light blue color. I cut it down and scored it to an A2 side folding card base. Next, I used the little hong Bao (red envelope) image to stamp all over with Versafine and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
To put my card together, I glued the thin white frame on first to literally frame my card. Next I assembled and adhered the bag with strong score tape. Lastly, I added my colored images with some wet glue and my card is finished!
As always, thanks for stopping by! Ciao!
