MAMA ELEPHANT Friendship Sentiments | Stamp Highlights

January 18, 2019

Hello again, crafty friends! Today I am sharing a “Girl Power” card highlighting Friendship Sentiments from Mama Elephant’s January release. This is a great set of very unique and sweet sentiments for those besties in your life. I was drawn to this one and decided to pair it with the girls from She’s So Lovely that Mama Elephant released a few months ago.

To start, I stamped all the images with Copic-friendly ink and colored with Copic markers. After I finished coloring, I cut out the images with She’s So Lovely Creative Cuts and put them aside to work on my background

For today’s background, I decided to play with my watercolors. I chose colors that coordinated with the way I colored each of the girls and just did some really simple swipes of color and water until I liked the results. I then splatter on what I had left and let my background dry.

This was the perfect time to stamp my sentiment and prep my images. I prepared some black card stock and heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. While my background was drying, I prepped the girls and the sentiment with some foam tape to add dimension to my card.

I adhered a few clear confetti on to my card and it’s finished! Thank you so much for stopping by today! Don’t forget to visit Mama Elephant’s blog to see the amazing inspiration from the rest of the design team.

  1. What a fabulous card! I love the softness of the multicolored background with the darker “ink splats” with the adorable girls and the perfect definition of friendship.
