Crafty Confession
I started this card 2 or 3 weeks ago. I colored the Pretty Pink Posh Wildflowers yellow and then it happened – I was stuck. I had absolutely no mojo to continue. I wasn’t sure what it was but I didn’t know where to take the card after that.
Over the weekend, I decided just to finish it and maybe I can move on to the next project. I didn’t have much expectations since I just didn’t have it in me but can I tell you? This card is magic! It turned out better than I could imagine and I’m totally feeling my own work. Haha.
Supplies I Used:
- Wild Rose stamp set
- Thoughtful Greetings stamp set
- Decorative Tag 1
- Stitched Notes die
- 4mm Droplets
- Metallic Gold Confetti Mix
The Process
I colored the roses with Copic markers and fussy cut them by hand. I die cut the stitch note background out of craft paper and used Versamark ink to stamp light, monochromatic impressions onto it to make my own background stamp. I used the Stitched Notes die to cut out the large rectangle. I glued this rectangle onto an A2 cream background and put it aside for later.
I then diet the decorative tag 1 out of black and the oval frame that comes with it with a cream card stock, the same cream card stock as the background. I used Versamark ink and embossed a sentiment with white embossing powder onto the black die piece. I secured the cream oval frame with multimedia matte glue and then popped the entire thing with foam tape onto the craft piece I made earlier.
I continued putting the card together by adhering the leaves from Wild Roses flat onto the background then popping up the flowers with foam tape so that it’s the same dimension as the black tag with the sentiment. I love this kind of dimension and try to do it when I can. I finished the card with 4mm droplets and metallic gold confetti mix. This week, I used a 60% off coupon and got the Spectrum Noir glitter pens in clear and I am in love. They are even more sparkly than my Wink of Stella. I am just sad that I wasn’t able to photography the sparkles. It’s amazing!
I really do love this card and how you like it too! Thank for stopping by!
