Today the Mama Elephant design team is highlighting the new Slim Film City – Creative Cuts die from July’s mini release. I decided to use the film strip on an A2 card for funsies and I love the results.
Today, I took out Summer Days to play with. I actually bought these stamps and never got to use them so I decided a mini release of all dies is the perfect time to play with stamps I haven’t used before.
After I finished coloring and die cutting the images, I started die cutting all the pieces I needed. I die cut the film strip from Slim Film City – CC in kraft and Bristol card stock. I will be saving the white strip for another project – today I am only using the insides to ink blend a simple background with Distress Oxide in Worn Lipstick.
Next, I assembled the card by mounting my film strip onto the pattern paper A2 card base and cut off anything that hung out of the A2 frame. I heat embossed a sentiment from Carried Away in coordinating colors and added to my card vertically to fill up some empty space left from mounting my strip diagonally.
And that’s it, my card is finished! Thank you for stopping by and don’t forget to check out what the rest of the team made on the Mama Elephant blog!
