MAMA ELEPHANT My Pet Puppies | Stamp Highlight

May 22, 2020

Hello, crafty friends! Today I am sharing a slimline card I made by using Mama Elephant My Pet Puppies and Slim Card Basics – Creative Cuts. I wanted to fit as many of the cute puppies as possible and the slim card basics dies made this possible.

To start on my card, I stamped and colored my images with Copic markers. Next, I die cut them with their coordinating dies and set aside to work on my background.

For the background, I die cut the scallop frame with blue card stock. Next, I die cut the stitched rectangle from Slim Card Basics – CC and ink blended with Distress Inks in Old Paper, Shaded Lilac and Chipped Sapphire. I then splatter the same inks onto the card base for interest and let this dry.

While my background was drying, I stamped the sentiment onto kraft card stock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Next, I prepped all my images by backing them and the sentiment with foam tape.

Once my background was dry, it was time to assembly my card. I popped the entire inkblended piece onto the blue scallop with foam tape. Next I arranged and adhered the sentiment and puppies onto the ink blended piece.

I made a card base that is 3 x 8 inches so that it the card has an appearance of a shaped card by making it smaller than the scallop edged piece.

And that’s all folks – hope you like my card! Thank you for stopping by!
