Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. As a full time working parent, I have always appreciated our teachers but with the pandemic and how quickly they all adapted to Emergency Distance Learning, I appreciate them so much more this year. I want to make a little card for each of them so they know how appreciated they are.
I started by stamping my images with a brown hybrid ink and coloring with Copic markers. I choose this little boy because he looks like my youngest. These particular cards are for his two teachers. After I finished coloring, I die cut with coordinating dies and worked on my background.
For my background, I inked up some Bristol smooth card stock with Distress Inks in Worn Lipstick and Tattered Rose for the warm tones and Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio for the cool tone card.
I stamped the “thank you” sentiment from Thoughtful Greetings and popped the images on with foam tape.
To finish, I added more foam tape to the back of the entire panel and adhered them to A2 card bases made from Neenah Desert Storm 110 lb card stock.
That’s it, and my cards are finished and ready to be given to the teachers next week!
