Hello, crafty friends! Today I am highlighting Mama Elephant The Penguin’s Waddle in my project. I love these big images from Mama Elephant because they’re so impactful and very easy to make a card with! Annnnd….who doesn’t love cute penguins!
Let’s begin by stamping and coloring our images. I stamped the image on Bristol smooth card stock with Versafine in Antique Sepia. Then I colored with a light wash of different blues and purples from my set of Arteza markers. I die cut with the coordinating dies and began working on my background.
For the background, I decided to make a purple galaxy sky. I ink blended with Distress Oxide in Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Shaded Lilac and Chipped Sapphire. I then splashed my inked up panel with water to life some of it to get little translucent dots. Then I got out some white paint and spattered that onto my panel with white paint to look like stars.
Once my background was dried, I heat embossed a sentiment from Jingle Greetings with white embossing powder. I framed the background with the thin frame from Framed Tags – Delancey. Lastly, I adhered my colored penguins onto the front of my card with foam tape and my card is finished!
I hope you like my card for today and thank you so much for stopping by! Visit the Mama Elephant blog to see more inspiration from the amazing design team!
