Today I have BIG NEWS! Literally! Today I am sharing a project highlighting Mama Elephant Big News stamp set. These cute critters are carrying blank signs and you can use mix and match a bunch of different sentiment that comes with this stamp set to customize a card for any occasion! Today I made a birthday card because I don’t think I can ever have enough birthday cards in my stash. Those always seem to go first!

I started my card the same way I always do. I stamped out the images, colored them with some of my favorite colors then die cut and set aside to work on the background.

For the background, I reached for my regular Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass for the sky and Shabby Shutters for the grass. I used the amazing Big Scripty Hello – Creative Cut (designed by Kryssi with her own handwriting) and die cut it out of this ink blended background. I knew I wanted to keep things subtle since this die was so large. I glued the larger piece onto an A2 card base then I popped up the ‘hello’ with foam tape for dimension.

I then used some more Distress Ink Shabby Shutters to stamp on the grass image before adhering my images. I put everything on foam tape except for 2 of my balloon bunches and adhered them to my card. Next, I glued the last two balloon bunches directly onto the scene, tucking them behind the letters in the ‘hello’ die. Lastly, I felt the card was looking a little empty and decided to fill it up with some star confetti. Does it make sense in my scene? Absolutely not. Does it make it cute? Yes, yes it does. And when it comes to creativity, that’s all that matters at the end – at least that’s what I tell myself. Haha.

Anywho, thanks again for stopping by! Make sure you pick up this very versatile stamp set and make something fun with it! Happy crafting!
