PRETTY PINK POSH March Release Blog Hop

March 8, 2019

Hi, friends! Today is day 2 of the Pretty Pink Posh March release blog hop! Today I am sharing a shaker card using Spring Frame and Friendship Confetti Mix from the new release. The Spring Frame makes the perfect frame for a sweet and elegant shaker card!

I started by die cutting two Spring Frames in two different colored cardstock. I used some Distress Oxide in Abandon Coral to add a little gradient to the edges of the pink frame. I then layered the pink on top of the coral cardstock and offset it. I wanted to create a tone on tone shadow using two of the die cuts! I cut off the excess with some scissors and glued them together with some wet glue.

Next, I worked on my background by blending Distress Oxides in Abandon Coral, Dried Marigold and Spun Sugar in an oval to the center. I kept Spun Sugar in the center to look like a spotlight for the sentiment.

I used a sentiment from the new Peacock Friends stamp set (that I will be making a card with very soon) and stamped it with Versamark. I then heat embossed with Rose Glintz WOW! embossing powder for a gorgeous rose gold finish.

I put some acetate on the back of the Spring Frame then build up a layer of foam tape to put together my shaker components. I filled the shaker well with Friendship Confetti Mix and adhered the background to the shaker panel. I then adhere the entire thing to an A2 card base and my card is done. Just for a few finishing touches, I used a white gel pen to add a few dots on the flowers and leaves.

I love how easy it was to put together but how impactful it looks with all the layers and blending. And who doesn’t love a shaker card, right?!

Don’t forget to leave a comment to participate in the giveaway!

There are 4 $25 gift certificates up for grabs (two winners each day). Winners will be picked randomly along the blog hop. Comments must be left by 11:59 PM PST on 3/13/2019. Winners will be announced on the PPP blog.
