Today’s card is a birthday card I made using Cupcake Critters stamp set by Pretty Pink Posh. These images are very sweet and festive – perfect for a birthday card for just about anybody in your life. Today’s colors leads the card more towards a feminine birthday, but I’ve made a card where it could be for anybody early this month as well!
To start today’s card, I colored the images with Copic Markers and die cut them with coordinating dies. I then took a piece of Bristol smooth paper and ink blended in Distress Inks in Spun Sugar and Cracked Pistachio to match the colors I used in my colored images. Next, I die cut out the Decorative Tag 2 out of white glitter paper to use as additional interest for my background. I adhered this tag directly onto my ink blended background.
I am going to be completely honest here. After I adhered the tag, I realized I did not plan or leave any room for a sentiment. So as a solution, I took some vellum and heat embossed, “Happy Birthday” from the stamp set with silver embossing powder and cut this down to size to fit the tag die cut.
I adhered all my critters on with foam tape and positioned them on the top edge of the vellum sentiment to keep this sentiment in place. The results are sweet, soft and very interesting and I love this card!
I hope you love this card as much as me! Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great and inspirational day!
