Hello again! Today’s card I am sharing highlights Mama Elephant Poppy Flowers. I also decided to pair it with the new Jar Shaker to make a fun shaker card with these beautiful blooms.
Let’s begin! First I stamped all my images and the sentiment with Versafine Antique Sepia and colored with Zig markers. I tend to lean this way when I have to color large images because it blends a little bit faster. After I finished coloring, I die cut with coordinating dies and moved on to work on my background and shaker elements. (Note: I fussy cut the sentiment. It does not have a coordinating die but is very easy to cut.)

For the shaker, I started by die cutting out the Jar Shaker die. I then ink blended with Distress Ink Peacock Feathers and faded up into white. I felt this kind of mimics a jar of water. I added a few paint splatters and let this dry.
For the background, since my inks were out, I ink blended with Distress Inks in Spiced Marmalade and Dried Marigold. I then die cut my ink blended piece using Woodgrain Cover CC. I think this has become my favorite cover plate by Mama Elephant. I find myself pulling it out a lot.

Now for a little engineering. I die cut the largest jar out of the woodgrain background panel I popped in the outline jar piece and taped the back together. I lined up the opening and popped in the inner jar piece that was ink blended and glued it directly onto the card base. Next, I then put a piece of acetate on top of the cover that was taped together. I filled the back with foam tape and filled the hollow area with clear sequins, confetti, stars and a few teal colored sequins. I pulled off the release paper on the foam tape, popped the card based on top and my shaker is done!

To finish my card, I adhered the flowers and stem on with strong liquid glue and popped up the middle bloom and the sentiment on with foam tape. And that’s it! My shaker card with the beautiful Poppy Flowers is finished!
I love this card and I hope you do too! Thank you so much for stopping by!
Loving these new Mama Elephant samples. Beautiful!
