MAMA ELEPHANT Little Chickie Agenda + Favor Bag

February 18, 2019

Hello! Today I created two projects as a set because I love these little chickies – small and large! For my card, I am highlighting Little Chickie Agenda from Mama Elephant’s February release with the Circular Grid die. I also made a matching favor bag by putting the new Favor Bag Accessory – Chickie onto the Mama Elephant Tote Bag 3D – XL.

For my card, I stamped out my images with Versafine Antique Sepia and colored with zig markers. I kept it to a color palette of warm corals, peaches and sunny yellow. I diecut all the little chickies with their coordinating dies and set them aside to work on the background.

I started on the background by ink blending a piece of Bristol smooth yardstick with Distress Oxides in Abandoned Coral, Worn Lipstick and Dried Marigold for an ombre affect. I then die cut the panel with Circular Grid. I also die cut a piece of fun foam and glued it on the back of the ink blended piece for dimension. I then glued the entire thing to an A2 card base.

To adhere the chickies, I had to double up on the foam tape because the fun foam I used was really thick. If I didn’t do this, the chickies will sink into the holes and it just didn’t look cute.

For the sentiment, I cut out a banner using the new 3D Arch Banner except I chose not to fold it to a 3D banner today. I heat embossed a sentiment from Friendship Sentiments and glued it directly to my card. That’s it, and my card is complete!

Next, I started working on my favor bag! I die cut the Tote Bag 3D – XL onto some colored cardstock and assembled it. You cut two pieces and adhere them together with either some strong glue or scortape.

For my FBA Chick, I die cut all the pieces on colored cardstock then ink blended the edges to add a little depth to each piece. I adhered the yellow piece that is the head directly onto the bag. Next, I adhered the white egg shell that he is cracking out of! So cute! Then, I popped up his little feathery ‘hair’ and wings with foam tape. I glued on his beak and eyes and this bag is done as well!

I hope you like my projects today. I had a blast making them! Thanks for stopping by and I hope I inspired you to create today!
