Hey there, crafty friends! Today I am sharing this floral card I made using Pretty Pink Posh Crocus Flowers from the January 2019 Release. If you know me, you know I’m not that comfortable with floral images, but I love the way they look and PPP has some of the prettiest images around!
I didn’t know what a crocus was, so I looked it up on Pinterest and it looks like the purpler variety was the most common. Again, if you knew me, purple is my favorite color so it was a match made in heaven! I began by coloring the crocus flowers with Copic markers and die cut them with their coordinating dies.
For the background, I actually watercolored a background before hand in purple, blues and pinks. I’m no where a pro at watercoloring so I always think these messy watercolor backgrounds will be the way to go, but I always end up messing with it too much in an attempt to control what I should not control. Haha. So my colors blended way more than I wanted, which means it’s basically just purple but I think it’s still cute enough to use. I’ll get them at the next one! 🙂
I arranged and adhere the flowers onto my base and of course forgot to stamp the sentiment. I put the panel into my Misti and stamped a sentiment from Encouraging Words stamp set. Thank goodness for the Misti! I popped this entire panel onto a A2 card base with strong tape runner. To finish the card, I added a few Pretty Pink Posh jewels and my card is complete!
Thank you for stopping by!
