Hello, crafty friends! If you just came from Mayra’s Designs, then you’re at the right blog! (Isn’t Mayra amazing? I am obsessed with her coloring!)
First of all, HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY, PRETTY PINK POSH!
I haven’t made anything in a while and starting up again with the adorable Pretty Pink Posh January release was exactly what I needed to get going again! Today I made a card featuring the new Pretty Pink Posh Cupcake Critters. If you know me, then you know I cannot resist a cute critter stamp set and that’s exactly what happened to me here!
I started by stamping out my critters onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly ink. I colored everything in Copic markers. (I feel a little out of practice here and will be coloring in Copics for a while to get my groove back.) After I finished coloring, I die cut all my images with their coordinating dies.
Next, I started to work on my background. I played with some Distress Oxide that I got for Christmas. My favorite color combination at the moment is Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Antique Linen. After I finished blending, I splashed some water to lift up some fun dots and splattered some paint.
I used an oldie but goodie Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Star Die and cut out an opening with the largest star. I then stamped the sentiment on with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. (I was so proud of myself that I remembered to stamp the sentiment at this point and not after I assembled everything!)
To finish my card, I asked a few jewels from the newly release Party Mix jewel mix -such beautiful colors! And that’s it! My card is finished!
