PRETTY PINK POSH Blog Hop | Penguin Pals + Ornament Shaker Die

November 15, 2018

Hello crafty friends! Thank you for joining us today on the Pretty Pink Posh September release blog hop! If you just came from the amazing Yoonsun Hur blog, you are at the right place!

Today my card features a few goodies from the newest release! I started by stamping out Penguin Pals onto Bristol paper and colored them with Zig markers. I went the whimsical route and made some blue penguins today. (I wanted it to coordinate with the beautiful Winter Days confetti mix that is also new with this release.) After I finished coloring, I die cut them all with their coordinating dies.

I then cut a piece of Bristol smooth card stock to A2 size. I ink blended with Distress Inks in Stormy Sky and Tumbled Glass. After it dried, I used the new Ornament Shaker die to cut out it’s outline. I then cut out another Ornament Shaker die out of light blue card stock and inlayed it into the cutout of the ink blended panel. I glued a piece of sturdy acetate behind these pieces to create my shaker window. I doubled up some foam tape and built up my well and filled it with Winter Days confetti mix. I slowly and carefully adhered the A2 card base to the panel and my shaker is finished.

I adhered the little penguins to the card with foam tape and my card is finished!
