Welcome back for another Mama Elephant stamp highlight – today’s card features Joy Ornaments from the September 2018 Anniversary release! This stamp set has beautiful, fun and large ornament images that you can play around with. For today’s card. I paired it with a few little friends from Little Elf Agenda to add a whimsical feel to my card.
I started by stamping out J-O-Y from the Joy Ornaments stamp set and a few elves from Little Elf Agenda. I whipped out the Copics again for this card. It’s been a while and I wanted to get a good blend to make the letters and ornament look 3D and I feel it’s easier for me to do this with Copics. I stamped all my images onto Neenah white card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. After I finished coloring, I used coordinating dies to cut them out.
I then cut down a piece of Bristol smooth card stock to A2 size to ink blend a background. I used Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch from the outside blending towards the middle to keep a highlighted area since I will be adhering all my images in the middle. This create a spotlight affect for those images. I splashed on some water and lifted it up for a fun and dreamy look.
After my background was dry, I stamped the ornament string and the “to you and me” sentiment” onto it with Versamark. I heat embossed everything with silver embossing powder.
To assembly my card, I lined up all the images and popped them up with foam tape for dimension. I love this sweet and simple card that has such an impact with the bold red ornaments!
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed reading about today’s card.
