Hello friends! Today’s card highlights Mama Elephant She’s So Lovely. It’s hard to choose but this could possible be my favorite set from this release. I have a 9 year old daughter and this set just speaks to the momma in me.
First, I stamped all the images onto white card stock with Copic-friendly black ink and colored all the images with Copic markers. I added some details with white gel pen to increase the cute. I die cut out the images with their coordinating dies and set them aside to work on my background.
Next, I die cut a piece of watercolor paper with the largest die from the Basic Rectangles Creative Cuts which cuts out a rectangle that perfectly covers an A2 size card. I masked stripes off with some painter’s tape and ink blended the stripes with Distress Ink in Tattered Rose. I normally ink blend with Bristol Smooth paper but wanted to try the watercolor paper and I have to say I love the texture it added. I will definitely be doing it again. I carefully peeled off the tape and my background was finished.
After the background was completely dry, I heat embossed the sentiments with gold embossing powder. I then adhere the images onto the background with foam tape for dimension. I finished the card off with rose gold heart confetti by Pretty Pink Posh.
That’s my card! I hope you like it. Thank you for stopping by and happy crafting!
Your color scheme is lovely! I really like how the stripes frame the focal images and tie everything together.
