Hi there, crafty friends!

Another Monday and I was dragging until I got home and got this sweet package from LDRS Creative! Inside were a bunch of goodies but what I was most interested in trying was their new hybrid inks. I’ve been exclusively a Distress Ink kinda girl, but I wanted to try something new and these inks did not disappoint!

I started my card by trimming down a piece of Bristol smooth card stock to 4.25 x 5.5 for an A2 card. I used a mini ink blender and blended Lipstick Jungle and Pink Tutu. The blend was amazing. I decided to splash it with some water to see what happens…nothing! Haha. Lesson #1. Hybrid inks do not lift with water. Next I watered down some on my stamp block for some splatters…Lesson #2. Hybrid ink splatters! BUT it doesn’t have the same consistency as a dye ink. It’s hard to explain. It’s sticky and thicker. But it worked beautifully.

Time to color! I stamped out the ballerina onto some 110 lb. card stock and colored with alcohol markers. I went with classic pick for her to match the background. I fussy cut her out with scissor and was super careful not to amputate her skinny little legs! That wouldn’t have been cute. I put some foam tape behind her and set her aside. We aren’t ready to mount her quite yet!

First, I need to emboss the sentiment on the inked background. I inked up the sentiment with LDRS watermark ink and used silver embossing powder to get a soft sentiment look to match all the soft pinks on the card.

I adhered the ballerina onto the base and the entire thing onto a top-folding A2 card with a tape runner. To finish it off, I added beautiful Pretty Pink Posh sequins and voila! We are done!

Thank you for stopping by! Below you will find affiliate links to all the goodies I used. As always, thank you for your support!
