Hello friends! April is my birthday month so I decided I’m going to make a bunch of birthday cards! I never seen to have enough when birthdays come up so I thought it would be smart to have a stash of these on hand versus my usual cramming.
Today’s card stars the adorable Birthday Friends from Pretty Pink Posh. I colored these little guys with Copic markers and die cut them with their coordinating dies.
I wanted to add a die cutout in the front of my card. I’m really into that right now. I feel it adds a layer and interest that’s super impactful but simple to do. I used the larger die in the Pretty Pink Posh Window Frames die set to cut out a window on a 4.25 x 5.5 in piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock since I knew I would get my ink blending on. I blended Distress Ink Spun Sugar and Abandoned Coral in the inside piece and a little Tumbled Glass on the upper corners of the frame piece. I wanted to get all the colors I used to color my little friends onto the background as well.
Once the blending was completed, I popped the frame onto a card base with foam tape and adhered the inside frame flame onto the base with my tape runner. I then kept everything simple by adhering all my colored images with a tape runner. I stamped the sentiment in the set with Plum Memento ink and adhered Pretty Pink Posh new jewels in coordinating colors to keep everything cohesive.
I hope you enjoyed my card and thank you for stopping by!
