Pretty Pink Posh January Blog Hop

Hello and thank you for joining us today for Pretty Pink Posh’s 4th birthday blog hop! I’m sure you have seen a lot of great things from the talented participants already and am so honored and excited to get to share what I came up with!

I made two cards today that are relatively simple to highlight a few of the new items from this release. Here is my first card:

Pretty Pink Posh Cupid Valentine's Day Card

Supplies Used:

I love this sweet pair of cupids from the new release. I had a great time coloring them with Copic markers. After I finished coloring, I cut them perfectly out with the coordinating dies. I’m pretty good at fussy cutting, but something about the utter perfection if die cutting out images just is so satisfying for me! Haha, nerd alert. Okay, moving on.

I cut the smaller frame from the Scallop Frames die set with Bristol smooth paper. For the inner piece, I stamped the large, beautiful sentiment that comes with the stamp set with Versa mark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then did some emboss resist with Distress Inks in Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar and Dried Marigold.

I prepped an A2 card base with the pattern paper cut slightly smaller than the base so a little white frame shows. I’m really into that look right now but am not great at photographing it quite yet. Still a work in progress!

I cut really thin strips of foam tape and put it all around the frame to pop it up to add dimension. I then popped up the two cupids on foam tape as well and adhered the droplets and confetti in the inner panel for some interest and shine! The cupid wings received a generous amount of clear Wink of Stella and this card is complete! On to card #2:

Supplie I Used

For my second card, I did something a little different than my usual. There are no stamped & colored images on this…which is shocking for me. I used the exclusive Damask Greetings stamp from Simon Says Stamp’s Stamptember collaboration with PPP and stamped it with Hero arts Unicorn pigment ink onto Kraft paper. I don’t think this stamp set is in stock anymore so for those of you who didn’t get a chance to scoop this one up for your stash, a easy solution would be to pick any little stamp, maybe solid hearts from the previous Cupid Friends stamp set I didn’t use would be perfect for this! (I think I will plan out a card doing this next now to think of it!)

I cut the love shaker die out of the background I just made and I also cut it out of white card stock. I saved the little pieces inbetween and inlay the white die into the Kraft background. I stamped a greeting form everyday greeting onto pink paper with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I popped that onto with some foam tape. I tied a piece of pink twine around the entire piece and mount it with fun foam for a dimensional look to a top folding A2 card base. You will see, I cut the Kraft paper down a little bit to leave that white board around that I like so much right now. This card wasn’t too much work but I feel it gives a nice elegant impact.

That is it from me!  As of any party, check out the fun gifts and goodies Pretty Pink Posh has lined up for their birthday celebrations:
