Pretty Pink Posh Diamond Dies

July 14, 2017

Hi friends! I’m so happy everybody liked my card for yesterday’s blog hop post!

Today’s card has a lot of oldies but goodies! What I’m featuring is the new Stitched Diamond dies that I used to make the kite for my shaker card! I used the two smaller dies together to cut out a diamond frame for my shaker. I blended Distress Ink in Twisted Citron to make a background for the shaker and filled it with PPP Peridot Mist, Sparkling Clear sequins and Star Confetti and the shaker element is done.

I then used Distress Ink in Worn Lipstick and Dried Marigold for the background. I also blended a smaller piece of Bristol Smooth paper with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and die cut out a border using PPP Stitched Borders 2 Dies to created a piece to ground my critters. I stamped the Pretty Pink
Posh Woodland Critters with Versamark Black Onyx then watercolored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and a water brush.
Now the fun part – time to assemble the card! I started off by stamping the “Sending happy thoughts your way” sentiment from the Pretty Pink Posh Thoughtful Greetings stamp set with versamark ink then heat embossing it with white embossing powder. I mounted the border piece on the bottom with foam tape. I then arranged my critters on the bottom with more foam tape. I adhered the diamond shaker in the top right corner. To make it look like a kite, I used a piece of green baker’s twine and glued it to the back of my shaker as well as behind the bear’s hand to look like he’s holding it! How cute is that? I then finished the card with a few Sparking Clear sequins and mounted the panel to a top folding A2 card base! Voila!
