First Blog Hop
Hi friends! Today I am joining a lot of amazing designers for my very first blog hop featuring Pretty Pink Posh’s new July release. I want to start of by telling you how honored I feel to be among this group of uber talented individuals. They are truly amazing! This release is SO good, guys! It was hard to not make a ton of things with it because you simply can. I decided to share a shaker card I made with the Pretty Pink Posh Sea Friends stamp set because I truly love me some sea critters!
The Madness…I mean, Process
To make this card, I stamped out everything and colored them with Copic markers. I created the background by blending Distress Ink in Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers to look like the ocean. I added some drops of water and waited until lifting it up with a paper towel to create “bubbles” in the background. I then die cut a frame using the biggest die from Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Frames Dies. I filled my shaker with Pretty Pink Posh Mermaid Sequin Mix which is also new with the July release! This mix is the prettiest mix of greens, aqua and blues…it truly reminds me of a mermaid’s tale. I also adhere some of the sequins and the clear droplets (there are some included in the mermaid sequin mix, guys!) to the background just so when the card is standing up , it didn’t look too plain.)
I adhered the colored images inside the shaker except my two favorites, the whale and the dolphin that I saved for later. I heat embossed the “hi” sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh Everyday Greeting Stamp Set in white. After I put the shaker together, I adhere the dolphin and whale on the outside of the card and it is finished!

I like the idea of putting some of the sea creatures inside the shaker box and others on the outside. It really adds depth to the card. Thanks for the inspiration!
