Cards for Boys
Because I mainly buy stamp sets that I like, I found I had an abundance amount of unicorns and mermaids. However when I sat down to craft with my children, my son, Aidan, told me, “Mom, how come you don’t have any boy stamps.” I guess the unicorns and mermaids weren’t for him. I sought after a few sets he would like and this dragon one was one of them. I decided to make him a card for his room (currently my daughter displays all the cards I make on her book shelf.)
DIY Cloud Stencil
MFT just came out with a cloud stencil. Since I’m trying to be good and not buy all the things, I decided to make use of the cloud die I already have and make my own! I die cut a piece of 110 lb card stock and used it as my stencil to make the background of my card and it worked out great! It’s still in great condition and can be used again.
I colored the dragons with Copic markers and mounted the entire card onto pretty pattern paper. I gold embossed the sentiment to have it match the patterned paper and voila! We have a card for Aidan!
