Lawn Fawn Love You S’more Handmade Card

I Made S’more Cards!

Yup, here’s another card I made using Lawn Fawn stamps. I just love their stamp sets so much! This one isn’t any exception. I got this set from Markerpop.com a month ago. I was going on a camping trip with the kids for spring break and when I saw this, I know I had to have it (like every Lawn Fawn stamp set I come across, really, but who’s counting?)

I definitely knew that I was going to make a scene for this stamp set! I ended up coloring everything and was disappointed that I couldn’t arrange them to fit onto an A2 card. If I knew, I would have started out with a 5×7 card base!

But I am more than happy with how this came out. Do you love it as much as I do?

S’more About How I Put This Together

I started with some Bristol smooth paper and blended Distress Ink in Fossilized Amber in the middle in a circular motion to get a sunset/fire glow from the campfire. I think blended Spun Sugar from the bottom of the card and around the circle I just blended. From there, I blended Shaded Lilac and Stormy Sky up on top to make it darker. I love how it turned out! I heatset the entire thing and used Versamark ink to stamp starts and the cute sentiment into the sky. I covered it all in white embossing powder and melted it all with my heat gun.

I stamped everything in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers. The twins and logs I stamped with Memento Dew Drops. The trees are stamped in New Sprout and the logs and sticks are stamped in Desert Sand.

I die cut a piece of light green cardstock to make a grassy hill side for all the critters to sit and toast their marshmallows on. I adhered everything with foam tape to give it a fun dimensional look.

S’more Surprises Inside

Inside the card, I decided to add one final surprise. I used my Mama Elephant pop-up die on a piece of 65 lb. white card stock. After the last card, I found if I tried to make it lighter on the inside, the card will close better and not appear too thick. I was a little worried it would be too flimsy but it turned out exactly like I wanted to. I put in an adorable s’mores image with a winky face inside and stamped the sentiment, “Let’s Toast” with a little red heart to finish off the card. I admit, it doesn’t exactly match the outside, but I got carried away by all the cuteness!

I hope you like this card as much as I do. If you do, come back for s’more!

Okay, done w/ the puns.
